Our Story

Get A Move On , formerly 2 Guys & A Truck Moving and Storage, has locations in Wichita and Hutchinson, Kansas. Paul Wells founded the company in 1996 with one used moving van, and under his leadership, it has grown to handle more than 4000 moves per year with over 30 employees and dozens of moving vans, packing and cleaning vans, trailers and a semi. The company posted over a million dollars in sales in 2001 and 2002, has been recognized as a Metro Award Winner (Wichita Business Journal, 2002) and a two-time Star of Excellence Award Winner (Apartment Association of Greater Wichita).

Get A Move On does more than just move! Get A Move On has been cleaning the houses we move people out of since the spring of 2001. After all, the last thing you want to do on moving day is go back to your old house and clean it. Get A Move On also has a packing service, sells boxes, has storage, and sells firewood.

Moving is one of the five most stressful events is a persons life. That is why we try to be as flexible as we can when it comes to your move. We can provide any level of service you desire, from "just the big stuff" to a complete "pack and move followed by a clean." Get A Move On has built a reputation of being fast, efficient, and friendly, making your move as easy on you as possible.

Get A Move One is active in the Apartment Association of Greater Wichita, the Wichita Area Association of Realtors, the Wichita Area Chamber of Commerce, the Hutchinson Reno County Chamber of Commerce and the Wichita Area Builders Association. Get A Move On has also formed community partnerships at reduced rates and in some cases at no charge with such organizations as The American Heart Association, Catholic Charities, KETCH, the Mental Health Association, Pathways, the Salvation Army and ComCare.
